All the girls signed a baseball as a keepsake for the baby's room. Then we played a few shower games. For one, we had to guess the different scents that had been put into several diapers. For another, Angie, the hostest with the mostest, had called Ben and asked him a series of baby-related questions. She then swore him to secrecy (which is hard for him to do, if you know my husband)! Then she asked me the questions and I had to come up with what I thought Ben's answer was to them. It was tricky, but I was able to get quite a few right!
After the games, the ladies took turns putting a penny into a little baseball piggy bank and passed on to me some advice or something they appreciated that their moms did for them. I think this was my favorite part of the shower.
The entire theme of the shower was "sports"...since we are having a little boy and his room is currently decorated in a similar theme.
The menu was made up entirely of "game day" food!
Nachos, popcorn, chips and guacamole, fruit, veggies...it was yummy!

We even had "hot dogs and fries"!
The "hot dogs" were our dessert! They were made up of twinkies for the "buns", split down the middle, with a twix inside for the "hot dogs". The "fries" were made from a peanut butter fudge. They really did look like hot dogs at first glance...and oh my goodness were they fantastic!!! It was a super cute idea. :)
Getting ready to open presents!
All my girls!
I love these women!
They are loving, encouraging and just fun to be with!
