We're Buying Our First Home

Yes, you heard right! Ben and I put an offer down on a home and it got accepted! If all goes well, we will close in about a month.

This whole thing started because our apartment complex, where we have lived for a year and a half, decided to ask people to sign leases for between 7 and 12 months. If you sign a lease your rent goes up $100. If you stay month-to-month, your rent goes up $200. So we decided to look at apartments, but rent is insane due to the house market being so low. After talking it over with Ben's family, we decided to look at a manufactured home in a good area. Ben got the loan and all of the sudden we were writing an offer. The next day we found out it was accepted.

All of this has happened within the last three weeks and has been nuts! But we are super excited about owning something of our own.

We just keep trusting that if this is the home God has for us everything will continue to move forward smoothly. And, if not, that He has something even better for us!
