Here is Craig and Jodie's house. One of the upstairs wings has been made into an incredible movie theatre, which I forgot to take pictures of. It has two rows of leather reclining seats...you push a button and it lays you out...with cup holders and surround sound. We watched Pirates of the Carribean #3 one night and it was shaking the whole house - seriously sweet!
This is the new pool they just put in. There is a hot tub built into the rocks above. The waterfalls pour into a 9 foot deep pool. We all had tons of fun jumping and diving off the rocks into the pool, most especially Ben! You can even sit on a ledge under one of the waterfalls. It was a great addition to the already amazing house and a welcome respite from the heat! Here are Mom and Ben by the pool.
Here are Craig, Jodie, Grandma (and Mitzi on her lap), Mom and Ben. See the bird topiary in the background? They have a giraffe, an elephant - I think, two rabbits and I forget what else out of topiaries. Their property is huge.
We went out on Saturday to downtown Chico and then ventured to the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company to do some beer tasting. Here is the whole crew (minus one). From left to right, Auntie Leslie, me, Ben, Mom, Brianna, Jodie and Craig.
All in all, we had a fun time. It was a long drive there and back, but it was fun to see everyone and to have several days to just hang out and not have to be anywhere! Thanks to Craig and Jodie for their hospitality and to everyone for the fantastical food!!!
