Happy 26th Birthday Ben!

Ben's birthday was last Friday. He wanted to do something low key, so our friend Melissa came over and helped me make him dinner (as my back went out a few days prior to his birthday and I couldn't be on my feet much - THANKS MELISSA!!!). Then we had a yummy white cake with white frosting and sprinkles...doesn't that sound like the perfect "Boy" type cake to you? Sorry Ben...had to work with what was in the cupboard.
And then we went to a movie.

We got to spend that Sunday afternoon with Ben's mom, grandma, granny and family friend Richard to celebrate his birthday too. We had a yummy dinner of ribs, corn, salad...and a few other things.

I think Ben had a good birthday...his first since we got married. Hooray - it was your first birthday as a married man!

Being married just makes everything so much more fun!

AND...Ben and I leave tomorrow for our Hawaiian honeymoon! We are so excited. Ben's mom and grandma are sending us for an extended honeymoon, since we only got to have about a three-day honeymoon right after the wedding. (Thanks mom and grandma!) We will get to spend a week in Maui. Ben's aunt is giving us her house for the week. (Thanks Auntie!)

It will be a lot of fun. Ben has been there a few times, but I have never been. So, he will be showing me around. I am excited to get to do some things I have never done before like snorkeling!

Ben and I are both excited to get to go on this trip. Friday is our five-month anniversary and we will be in Hawaii celebrating our marriage! It is perfect timing for this trip together!
