Our church had a special Christmas Eve service again this year and Ben got to be in the live nativity again. The first night he was Joseph. The second night he was one of the three kings and looked great in his costume, but I didn't take my camera that night.
Here is Ben as Joseph.

You can't see it in the pictures, but there were live goats, miniature donkeys and even a cow this year. Baby Jesus was played by Caden, one of the little boys who is sure to be great friends with our little guy, once he arrives. He did great the first night. The second night he wasn't so happy.
Here are "Mary and Joseph".
This year Ben and I really wanted to make a gingerbread house. We had decorated one the Christmas we were dating...oh wait, I guess we were engaged at that point. Anyway, it was so much fun we did one again this year!

And here is our fabulous little Christmas tree! We went out to our favorite tree lot, in the pouring down rain, and cut it down. I think we were one of about four families who braved the rain to get our tree. It was fun. We were almost completely soaked by the end of it, but it makes for great memories!

This year, my favorite Christmas memory was of Ben skipping (literally) down the hall one night, completely giddy, telling me how this time next year our little boy will be so excited because he will get to open presents. :) Of course he will only be about nine months next Christmas, and may not quite grasp the excitement yet, but it made me smile that Ben was already thinking of it. I just love him!!!
