Thanksgiving in Spokane

This year for Thanksgiving, Ben and I went to Spokane, Washington to visit my older brother Randy and his family. He and his wife, Tyanna, have two adorable little girls! Ben was excited to get to know his nieces and was counting the days to our trip. Our oldest niece, Havana, is just two years old. She loves chicken nuggets and is super smart. She is very talkative and kept us laughing the whole visit. Her younger sister Taryn Mae was born one month before our visit. She is a doll and we both enjoyed getting to hold her and see her little face light up into a dimpled smile. :)

I arrived a day before Ben and got to have some girl time with my sister and nieces. The day Ben was due to arrive, I told Havana that we would go pick up "Uncle Ben" later that day, to which she said, "That will be fun!" While Randy, Havana and I were waiting for Ben's flight to arrive, we tried desperately to teach Havana to say, "Uncle Ben, where's my rice?" (For those of you who aren't familiar, there is a brand of rice called Uncle Ben's.) Havana had it down after about fifteen minutes of rehearsing. When Ben finally arrived and walked up to meet Havana, she said very proudly, "Uncle Ben....rice!" She missed the middle part, but it was cute. Now that we are home, I have heard from Ty that Havana will occasionally just say "where's my rice?" Too cute!

Here is Uncle Ben with Havana.
Here is Ben holding Taryn Mae...he did good!

Here is Ben with Havana - she kept wanting to take pictures while we were all laying on our bed. I just love this picture!

Here is Auntie Mel with Havana Banana! I kept calling her that and by the end of the visit, I would ask her, "Where's my banana?" To which she would point to herself and say, "Right here." It was pretty cute!

We had a great time visiting the whole family. It was great to see Randy and Ty, and have some Halo competitions...and we had a blast getting to spend time with our nieces! It even snowed the day Ben arrived, so we had a little winter wonderland. It was perfect. I don't think it will be too long before we go back!
